EXCLUSIVE: Brooklyn and Bailey talk cleaning hacks and lessons in keeping a tidy home
Brooklyn and Bailey, twins and social media personalities, have partnered with Scotch-Brite to discuss memorable messes and clean living
Some of us get pure enjoyment out of cleaning, finding it soothing or even therapeutic. Others may find the thought of scrubbing dishes, mopping floors, and wiping down counters nothing more than a chore. With the rise of CleanTok, however, we have learned countless cleaning hacks and discovered the best cleaning products that make those of us in the latter camp look forward to cleaning.
It makes sense then that Brooklyn and Bailey, twin sisters and social media personalities who effectively grew up on the internet, have found their passion for cleaning through TikTok trends – and a partnership with Scotch-Brite.
'I saw a TikTok and did not know that you have to clean out your washing machine,' Bailey tells us, calling from Dallas with Brooklyn. 'So there's just all sorts of of information out there that you can get, and even though the internet's not a perfect source of information, people's experiences are pretty good to learn from.'
With the famous green and yellow scrubs found in practically every kitchen across America, I was curious why now felt like the time for the hyper-busy twins to partner with the company.
'We have so many things happening right nowt hat are like really interesting, messy experiences,' Bailey explains. 'Brooklyn just opened up a new restaurant business. She's also about to have a baby. It felt authentic to bring together a collaboration with Scotch-Brite because it is organic.'
'We are using products in pretty much every sense of the corner of our lives right now,' Brooklyn continues. 'So it's just a really organic combination of the two.'
Growing up in Utah, Brooklyn and Bailey tell us that they were raised in a very clean household; however, life circumstances have changed their relationship to cleaning.

'I feel like getting married was the first time that I'd ever experienced any kind of adjustment to that because you know, you're including somebody else into your life and their cleaning habits are sometimes different than yours,' Brooklyn tells us. 'My husband, shockingly, is even cleaner than I am. So we keep a very clean household. But we're anticipating with the baby coming that that might have to change a little bit. Kids bring a whole other level of messes. But we're just trying to stay ahead of the game and get as prepared as we possibly can for that.'
As far as their own cleaning tips go, one fo their favorite lessons comes from home, and is a lifesaver for maintaining a consistently clean home.
'My mom taught me which is clean as you go,' Brooklyn shares. 'That is the biggest hack and piece of advice I'd ever give anybody for cleaning. Yesterday, my husband and I were scrubbing out our baby bottles. We were using the Scotch-Brite dishwand for the baby bottles, just getting them all sanitized so that when the baby's here, we're not spending, two hours scrubbing 50 different things all at once.'
Apart from cleaning, the twins are home decor enthusiasts who are both constantly at work on their separate houses and often sharing them with the world. Currently, they're both working on different but equally exciting updates.
'I collect vintage glassware,' Bailey tells us. 'And so I just, with the help of an interior designer, created this space in my kitchen that's like a booth space. Above the booth is shelves displaying all of my rainbow glassware. So that was like the biggest home project we just finished and then I'm about to start building my dream library at my house because we're big readers.'
Meanwhile, Brooklyn is prepping her nursery for her baby. 'We actually just got the wallpaper put up and we just built the crib a couple of days ago. 'You get piece by piece and then it kind of all comes together and hopefully we'll be able to do like a big nursery reveal in November which will be really fun.'
