Ashlee Simpson Ross' organic modern living room elegantly elevates a neutral color scheme with inviting natural textures
The "Pieces of Me" singer showcases an inviting living space featuring neutral shades and natural materials
Style does not have to be sacrificed for comfort, and this sentiment stands particularly true in the living room. For those seeking a refined and bespoke design, cozy furniture and warm, natural elements can still be part of an elevated space; this is proven through the organic modern trend time and time again.
Ashlee Simpson-Ross' living room proves that comfort and style can blend seamlessly. The singer shared a photo on her Instagram page of her sitting on her cream sofa, covered in patterned pillows, with all featured items coming from Kempa Home, a furniture brand wherein she is the creative director.

The core elements of an organic modern living room space are, as the title suggests, contemporary design with natural accents, the latter of which contributes to a relaxed and soothing atmosphere. Simpson-Ross has implemented subtle touches of nature via a rattan stool, a marble coffee table, and a ceramic vase with a plant inside.
'The organic modern trend has remained relevant within the interiors realm for a reason: it's an incredibly customizable trend that leans into some timeless features, such as natural, handcrafted, features and a neutral color palette,' says Homes & Gardens' editor Jennifer Ebert.

Texture and color are two important considerations when designing an organic modern space, such as a living room. As previously mentioned, decorating with neutrals rein supreme within this style; as such, texture is necessary to keep a room visually stimulating.
'Experiment with materials. Try a grainy wood coffee table in a living space, which can be juxtaposed against a fuzzy blanket or soft, cotton sofa,' Ebert suggests. Other natural materials that work well in an organic modern space include linen, rattan, and stone.

Ebert also says that implementing a monochromatic palette can open up the space and contribute to the cozy-yet-chic ambiance.
'Whites, creams, and greiges are all excellent color choices, as well as browns to tie in the wood elements if relevant,' she says.
