Matt Peskett
Keen gardener Matt Peskett tends two allotments: one for veg, on chalk soil, and one for fruit, on clay, as well as his terraced hillside garden, with its sandy soil, drought tolerant plants, bulbs and pots.
Matt chairs his local allotment association in Dorking, Surrey and plays an active role in its annual squash and pumpkin show. At home, Matt gardens on a sandy terraced hillside where he focuses on drought tolerant plants, bulbs and pot displays to delight his neighbours. For some years Matt has also been a volunteer with the Royal Horticultural Society and he provides feature garden support at Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Garden Festival.
He credits his granddad for his love of gardening, and growing vegetables, in particular, and in his honour founded his website Grow Like Grandad
